We are a small Communist group focused on primarily organizing the industrial and logistics sectors of the proletariat in Austin and the greater Texas area, all with the broader revolutionary aims of organizing the whole of the working class of the United States towards seizing political power, thereby establishing the dictatorship of the proletariat. This monumental task can only be done with the leadership of a vanguard Communist Party, something which is notably absent in our present conditions. Therefore, it is our mission for every step taken to be towards the creation of a party, a party comprised of the proletariat’s most advanced, most dedicated, and most steadfast elements, one which is guided by the science of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, and one which has been borne directly from the womb of class struggle.
We, however, understand our own role is limited by current conditions and see the movement’s overwhelmingly amateur character, its need to develop and grow out of its nascent shell. Therefore, we want to make it clear that firstly, we are not the vanguard and, in fact, understand such a thing does not exist. We do not seek to start up an obscure and disconnected organ, we do not aim to lead arbitrarily, and we certainly do not believe that the political line of any group, including ours, has been consecrated or ordained by the ghost of Marx or Mao. We reject the idea of “ready-made” revolutionary organizations which have absolutely no connection to the working masses they claim to represent.
We believe, instead, to work fervently towards the formulation of the correct political line of our movement through a theoretical understanding and summation of the social practice of the movement, not by whatever is declared so boisterously by any set of out-of-touch radical intellectuals. We seek to have a much more open dialogue and sense of debate through the struggle of opposing ideas so that we may come, based upon real unity, to a sharpened sense of clarity for the correct set of strategy and tactics. Thus, we urge all Communist individuals and organizations across the country to ditch the idea that you’ve got it figured out, that your line is sacred, and to, instead, put theory to practice by taking Marxism directly to the working class, grappling with all of its incorrect and correct aspects, agitating the broad masses of workers far and wide, and training up its most advanced elements through the most piercing political propaganda, thereby developing the class as a whole into a revolutionary fighting force.
Only when a protracted series of ideological battles have been fought as a result of the advancement of the class struggle as a whole—battles which have been consistently linked together by a broad national network and summed up by a national organ and leading center—can a party, and the real chance for the emancipation of labor from capital, materialize in the United States.
